How Craps "Experts" Lose Money Playing Craps
Return on investment (ROI) is a critical factor relating to successful personal financial profit principles in our normal lives, so, let's look at ROI methods craps players commonly apply in order to decrease their return on investment profit in Casino Craps.
Now, you are probably thinking, "Did I read that sentence correctly?"
Yes, I am saying that the vast majority of craps players actually employ illogical techniques in which they risk MORE money to win LESS money reducing their own ROI profit percentage opportunities! Would you like to see a common way they do it?
One of the most fascinating things about how to play craps today is that craps play is based on a betting structure in which identical wagers in different casinos produce variable ROI percentages. This is the result of each casino being allowed to set limits on its own craps tables independently from other casinos.
Since, the craps wagering structure is based on arbitrary limits set by each individual casino, craps players can decrease or increase their maximum return on investment profit opportunities simply by the choice of casino in which they decide to play craps.
For example, craps player B wagers a bet in casino B at a craps table where player B risks $505 with the opportunity to win $1005. In another part of the city, at casino G, craps player G wagers $504 on the same exact bet that offers a maximum winning opportunity of only $840. Both craps players are wagering nearly the same amount on exactly the same craps bet with a whopping $165 difference between what each player wins.
Craps player B risked $505 to win $1005, producing a 99% profit on risked investment, while craps player G risked $504 to win $840 (67% profit on risked investment). Although, both players are wagering exactly the same type of craps bet in each casino, the most player G can win is $840 (32% less than craps player B wins).
If craps player G wins the same bet ten times in casino G, the accumulated difference is $1650.00 of lost profit for player G. You can also factor in that the $1650.00 casino G didn't have to pay out to craps player G is extra profit for the casino! How are these discrepancies possible?
The facts are easy to comprehend when we approach this subject from the perspective of casino owners. Thus, let's imagine that you and I own a casino with craps tables on which we offer a specifically designed craps wager as stipulated in the following paragraphs.
Here's the stipulation: Number 7 (the number created more ways on the pair of dice than any other number) will always be our game-number while the players can bet for any or all of numbers 4, 5, 6, 8, 9 or 10 (each created less ways than #7) as opposition to our #7.
Let's name the bet players can wager a "Contract Flat" bet. "Contract" referring to the fact that once the wager is in "action" (CONTRACTED) we do not allow the players to remove it from the table until this bet wins or loses.
After "Contract Flat" bets are wagered on the players' choices of numbers, if our number 7 happens to roll, all players' bets lose simultaneously and are forfeited to our casino. On the other hand, each time a "Contract Flat" bet number appears on the dice, and number 7 has not yet rolled, we pay only even-money (one for one) to wagers on only the individual number that rolled. Regardless of which number a winning "Contract Flat" bet is on, our casino only pays it even-money, nothing more, regardless of its disadvantage against #7.
Our number 7 can land 6 ways while players' numbers can only land no more than 5 ways or less. "Contract Flat" bets are ALWAYS in the casino's favor! This will inevitably create a problem for you and me as casino owners because, eventually, some players will figure out that we have a big "advantage" (their are more ways the dice produce our number 7 than ways producing any player's number against #7).
Therefore, we must come up with a solution that will satisfy our wiser craps players so that we don't lose our extra income from their craps play.
